Chennai: State Council for Educational Research and Training (SCERT) will provide online training to in-service teachers for the special Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) scheduled for Jan 2026. The training programme is likely to commence in the third week of Nov. Following the Supreme Court order mandating all in-service teachers to clear the TET within two years, the state govt announced three special TET exams in 2026. About two lakh teachers in govt and govt-aided schools are expected to participate in these tests.
